Major MDS Coordinator (RNAC or LPNAC) duties and responsibilities including the following:
- Development, coordination and completion of resident assessments
- Preparation of the MDS report generation and analysis
- Data transmission and development of care plans
- Assuring compliance with Federal and State regulations governing long term care
- Working closely with the inter-disciplinary team
The ideal MDS Coordinator (RNAC/LPNAC) candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Active RN/LPN license
- Minimum of 2 years of RNAC/LPNAC experience in long-term care
- knowledge of MDS Assessment process, Medicare, and long-term care federal and state regulations
- experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, MDS completion, clinical resource utilization, and/or case management is highly desirable
