Twin Vee Powercats is Hiring a Boat Assembler/Rigging Technician Near Fort Pierce, FL

TWIN VEE designs and builds amazing offshore fiberglass boats. We are seeking to find Experienced and Professional Boat Assemblers/Rigging Technicians. We are the premier catamaran hulled boat building company for the recreation & commercial industry. Our boats are built tough and our fit and finish is first class. Position Overview

  • Must possess knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to perform a full range of rigging duties, considering factors such as size, shape, and location of the object and the availability and strength of overhead support structures.
  • Plan, lay out, assemble, repair, and install complex weight handling gear and various standing and running rigging.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of rigging procedures and equipment.
  • Perform work from information received from technical work documents, blueprints, specifications, written and/or oral instructions.
  • The Assembly position involves installing pumps, wiring harness, thru hulls, tanks, rails in hull.
  • Candidate should have some tools and have a working knowledge of basic carpentry, mechanical, plumbing and electric.

Physical Requirements

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements may include respirators, gloves, chemical resistance aprons, and chemical resistant suits and other forms of PPE.
  • Ability to work a 10 hour shift standing, bending, reaching. As well as, climbing on and through stairs, molds, and staging throughout the duration of your shift.
  • Moderate lifting ability up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, noisy environment.
  • Have flexibility to work overtime both planned and unplanned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Must follow all safety standards and procedures, including chemical handling standards and Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must adhere to all quality standards and adhere to new standards as processes evolve.
  • Must demonstrate record of dependability and reliability with prior work or professional experience.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work well with teams professional.
  • Understand and follow verbal and written directions.
  • Ability to use hand, battery, and pneumatic tools.
  • Skills in forklift, overhead hoist, computer, fiberglass and/or gel-coat applications preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
