Twin Maples Health Care Facility is Hiring a RN Supervisor Near Durham, CT

Twin Maples Health Care is a privately owned 44 bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Durham CT. We are currently seeking a 24-32 hour RN Supervisor for every other weekend as well as some 3-11 shifts during the week. We are especially looking for compassionate, motivated and enthusiastic individuals, who work well with a team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities on the units in accordance with current policies, rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
  • Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting, etc., as necessary.
  • Make daily rounds of the nursing service department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards. Report findings to the Director.
  • Develop work assignments and/or assist CNA's in completing and performing such tasks
  • Delegate to each CNA the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary to perform their assigned duties.
  • Ensure that a sufficient number of certified nursing assistants and nurses are available for your tour of duty to ensure that routine nursing care is provided to meet the daily nursing care needs of each resident

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have current active Connecticut RN License.
  • A minimum of one-year supervisory experience a Skilled Nursing/ Long Term Care facility is preferred.
  • Must possess a broad-based knowledge of long term care, advance directives, Alzheimer's and Dementia, along with community resources and federal and state regulations.
  • Must have excellent oral and written skills and be able to communicate in English.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
