Twin Cities Eye Specialists is a growing ophthalmology practice located in St. Paul's Highland Park neighborhood. We're looking for a highly motivated Operations and Patient Care Integration Specialist. The position involves both face to face interactions with patients as well as integral involvement in behind-the-scenes operations of the clinic.

The person in this position integrates the personal, the financial and the medical aspects of patient care. They provide a positive first and last impression and a focus on the personalized patient experience. They are integral in the operations of the clinic. This includes participation in managing clinic flow, understanding and helping patients understand the function of their insurance, knowledge of the essentials of coding, billing, and payments. All of this is to allow us to deliver high quality eye care. Teamwork and knowledge are at the heart of this. It is important that the person gains an understanding of the technical aspects of medical eye care so that they can fully participate.

Responsibilities include: Triaging phone calls, scheduling patient appointments, greeting and checking patients into and out of the clinic, including obtaining the necessary information from each patient to facilitate their visit. Assisting in the initial patient visit screenings. Recalling patients, preparing and maintaining medical documentation, facilitating billing and insurance processes, maintaining inventory and supplies, and performing other duties as assigned.

Candidates must have current medical office experience, and advanced computer skills. Critical thinking skills and problem resolution skills are essential. Highly motivated, well organized individual with a professional demeanor are encouraged to apply.
