Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Property Manager 

Property Details: Whispering Oaks is a 482-unit multifamily development with a business center, clubhouse, two swimming pools, gated access, on-site laundry facility, barbeque and picnic area, playground, basketball court, and community garden.

Essential Duties and Qualifications:

  • Perform maintenance service requests: Replacing light bulbs/light kits, unclogging toilets, garbage disposal installation/repair, basic water heater repair, basic cleaning and resident services
  • Plumbing, appliances, electrical, and carpentry
  • Grounds and equipment upkeep, snow removal
  • Perform apartment ‘make-ready’ process: paint walls and trim, repair and clean carpets
  • Maintain work order system and logs
  • Report incidents that include property loss or work-related injuries
  • Operate various mechanical, electrical equipment, and power/garden tools
  • Comply with all local, state, federal guidelines as well as company policies & procedures
  • ON CALL duty and weekend work schedules are required for emergency maintenance service

Requirements

 Essential Qualifications

  • HVAC & EPA certifications preferred
  • Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and pass criminal background check
  • Must be able to work with moderate to minimal direct supervision
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment while remaining conscientious and adhering to policies and procedures
  • Good human relation skills demonstrating the ability to deal with residents, peers and supervisors
