Job Title: ConstructionAccounts Payable Analyst

Reports To: Accounts Payable Manager

Office Location: TWG Central Office

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Administration:

  • Performs accounting & administrative work in support of recording the company’s job cost financial data, including the accurate processing and timely payment of vendor invoices
  • Calculate time and material work completed by TWG affiliated entities each month
  • Maintenance of project files
  • Assist with vendor W-9s, joint check agreements, & certificates of insurance documentation
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings

Accounting:

  • Receive, analyze, code, and scan bills
  • Process subcontractor monthly pay applications and weekly vendor invoices. Ensure accuracy of coding and adherence to established policies and processes by utilizing current job and category code lists, open contracts, and purchase orders
  • Complete monthly subcontractor pay applications for TWG affiliated entities, as needed
  • Verify contract data and change orders during processing
  • Monitor open payables to ensure timely approval
  • Assist in tracking vendor/subcontractor compliance
  • Extract reports from Viewpoint for construction team members, when requested
  • Assist Senior Accounts Payable Analyst with revolving accounts (Verizon, Capital One, Certify, etc.)
  • Process check requests, as needed
  • Facilitate cutting checks and acquiring the proper sign offs prior to sending
  • Issue checks for funded draws and retainage release for subcontractors in compliance
  • Deposit checks into designated bank accounts
  • Complete other duties assigned by supervisory personnel

Customer Service:

  • Correspond with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Subcontractors, Vendors, and other Construction/TWG Personnel regarding invoicing and payment inquiries in a timely and pleasant manner
  • Provide system support to Construction and Management Personnel concerning Construction Payable reports and system questions
  • Assist with other projects, as needed
  • Contribute to an overall positive working environment

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • College graduate
  • Degree in accounting is a plus

 Experience:

  • Construction Accounts Payable experience preferred
  • Knowledge of job costing principles preferred
  • Accounts Receivable experience is a plus
  • Understanding of general ledger entries
  • Experience with Viewpoint and/or any Accounting software is a plus

Skill Set:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to respond to questions from all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, and dependable
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Ability to solve practical problems and employ rational decision-making skills
  • Must be familiar with Excel, Word, and Outlook applications
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts including fractions, percentages, and ratios
  • Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines, by utilizing strong organizational and time management skills
