At Twelve Labs, our mission is to help developers build programs that can see, listen, and understand the world as we do by bringing the world’s most powerful video understanding infrastructure to market. As a part of achieving this mission, we are building foundation AI models that can accurately and instantly search exact moments within petabytes of video archives, generate coherent text summaries of videos, perform prompt-based video generation, and many more. The Twelve Labs platform provides access to its Large Visual Language Models (VLMs) through a suite of APIs that are trained on massive video datasets and learn to understand the meaning and context behind the visuals, conversations, and sounds within videos.

Twelve Labs recently raised $17M in seed funding, recognized as one of CB Insights’ AI 100 companies within a year of its founding, and secured a massive compute resource through partnering with Oracle. We are looking for an experienced Lead Technical Recruiter to lead our recruitment efforts and help us attract top technical talent, particularly in the fields of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Lead Technical Recruiter will be responsible for developing and implementing effective recruiting strategies, managing the full recruitment life cycle, and building strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers. This position requires flexibility to work in a fast-paced startup environment and may involve recruiting for both technical and non-technical roles. This role is an IC role, but as a lead we are looking for a strategic person who can both execute and manage up to leadership. 

You will:

• Be the first recruiter on the People team and play a vital role in scaling our organization
• Implement and scale end-to-end recruitment processes for all roles — from entry level engineers though senior leadership roles (technical to nontechnical roles)
• Lead projects including interview training, employment branding, culture assessments, offers, benchmarking, etc.
• Constantly evaluate external trends and tools and identify opportunities to promote creative and out-of-the-box recruiting strategies.
• Provide regular reporting and insights on recruitment metrics and performance to key stakeholders, including the leadership team.
• Support people operations projects and initiatives from the people operations org
• Be a vital partner for senior leadership and have influence on the growth of the organization
• Work collaboratively across San Francisco team and South Korean team (be comfortable with meetings until 6pm PST)

• 7 years of experience in technical recruiting, with a proven track record of success in sourcing and hiring top technical talent.
• Designed, built and rolled out recruiting processes and are excited about scaling. 25 hires in six months doesn’t scare you. 
• Be data-driven and digitally savvy, with a deep understanding of recruitment metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced scaling environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and leadership.
• An interest in establishing equitable recruiting processes and a desire to go the extra mile to recruit non-traditional candidates
• Experience with recruiting analytics, reporting, and data-driven decisions and solutions

• Technical recruiting management or lead experience 
• Previous experience partnering with executive staff
• Have supported and partnered with people team on people initiatives
