OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content. JOB DESCRIPTION WFLD is seeking a staff producer to contribute to one of Fox 32’s newscasts. This role requires a producer to gather facts, find video and oversee editing of stories. The candidate must have strong writing skills and be self-sufficient for the newscast. Responsible for story content and accuracy. Must perform all other duties as assigned and deemed appropriate. REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must have 2-3 years producing experience, experience as a line producer and computer knowledge preferred. Must be creative, concise, detail oriented, able to handle deadline pressure and take direction from managers. Reliability, good news judgment, and factual accuracy are crucial. Heaving sitting at workstation, light standing, bending, walking and stair climbing are also required.
