DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of mining equipment projects by supporting the Project Manager in facilitating procurement and fabrications, organizing resources, supporting site operations, and ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget.

As a Project Coordinator at Frontier-Kemper’s Lake Shore division, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist Project Managers in the execution of project plans, and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate project activities and timelines across cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components in accordance with project requirements.
  • Monitor project procurement and fabrication progress and identify potential risks or delays, proactively implementing solutions to mitigate these challenges.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including quote requests, purchase orders, invoices, and change orders.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of fabricated components.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations for management and clients.
  • Support quality assurance efforts by ensuring adherence to design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the resolution of project-related issues, escalating concerns to Project Managers as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3 or more years’ experience in project coordination or administrative roles
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Previous administrative experience in the engineering, construction or other technical industry preferred but not required
