Description
Tusculum University invites qualified candidates to apply for the full-time position of Assistant Director of Financial Aid. The Assistant Director of Financial Aid will, under minimal supervision, assist the Director and Associate Director of Financial Aid in the implementation and administration of federal, state, institutional, and external aid awards. Areas of responsibility include monitoring and applying federal, state, and institutional aid; utilizing software to ensure efficient processing of student aid while maintaining compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations; provide counseling and information sessions for students, parents, faculty, and staff. This individual will be part of a team dedicated to student success. The Assistant Director will assist in the day-to-day activities and be the back-up to any FA position’s responsibilities and duties.

Minimum Entry Requirements:
Bachelor Degree preferred and experience in financial aid or higher education is preferred. Applicants must possess effective interpersonal, oral, listening, and written communication skills; an outgoing personality; the ability to work independently and as part of a team; a flexible attitude; professionalism, customer service skills, and a willingness to travel, work evenings and weekends as needed. This comprehensive position requires experience coordinating multiple projects, a mathematical aptitude, a strong work ethic and excellent time/project management skills to be successful. Extensive knowledge of computer software programs, Microsoft Office, and analytical and problem solving skills are also required.
