Join Our Team as a Residential Crisis Worker

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in people's lives? The Opportunity Alliance is currently seeking a compassionateResidential Crisis Worker (RCW) to join the Broadway Crossings team. Broadway Crossings provides short-term, trauma-informed, stabilization services to adults experiencing a mental health or co-occurring crisis in a home-like environment as an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization. 

We provide all training to become MHRT-1 certified.

Our Ideal Candidate 

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as Residential Crisis Worker. In this role, you will be a crucial part of a multidisciplinary team, providing direct support to clients in a residential setting. Our ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting others during challenging times. 

Key Responsibilities

As a Residential Crisis Worker, you will provide direct service to clients as part of a multi-disciplinary team by:

  • Providing listening support

  • Assisting clients in achievement of treatment plan goals

  • Identifying client needs

  • Administering medication

  • Administering risk assessment, milieu, and household support

  • Completing medical record documentation

Qualifications:

  • Educational requirements are: 

    • High School Diploma with 5 years related experience required or

    • Associates degree in Behavioral Health or related field and 2 years of relevant experience or 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or other relevant areas preferred.

  • Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT1) within 1 year of employment; then maintain required training to uphold continuous MHRT1 status. 

  • We provide all training to become MHRT-1 certified!

  • MHRT CSP preferred.

  • At least one year of experience working in the mental health field, preferred.

  • Technical literacy, knowledge of DSM-V, solid oral and written communication, strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Flexible schedule is required

  • Must not be on the state or federal suspension and debarment list.

  • MHRT is required for position you must pass CNA registry check

  • A good driving record is required for this position. 

Additional qualifications for this position: 

**This role is required by the State of Maine to have proof of immunization or documented immunity against rubeola (measles), mumps, rubella (German measles), varicella (chicken pox), hepatitis B (optional), and influenza. Medical exemption may be accommodated with a written statement from a licensed medical professional. The Agency may assist with obtaining vaccines or proof of immunity if needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation is $20.00 per hour

  • Generous paid time off with 9 paid holidays per year and up to 3 floating holidays per year
