Starting Pay Range: $56K - $65K/yr

What you will do as a Wellness and Sports Manager:

• Plans and implements all sports, wellness, and recreational activities including equipment orientation for adults teens and youth at the Community Center.
• Offers a variety of classes and programs that prioritize movement to improve physical and mental health to meet the needs and wants of the Oneida Nation community.
• Coordinates, schedules and delivers experiences designed to provide knowledge, skills, and tools to help people live healthier lifestyles through lectures, workshops, and group discussions.
• Administers all aspects the wellness and sports programming, including developing and monitoring the program budget to meet fiscal objectives; compiling program statistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in program; securing and scheduling the needed facilities; and creating and scheduling the classes, activities or events.
• Recruits, hires, trains and develops all assigned staff and creates a positive work environment for the team; manages staff performance and creates opportunities for staff development.

To be successful as a Wellness and Sports Manager, you'll need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in wellness, kinesiology, exercise physiology, recreation management or related field preferred.
• 3 years of experience in recreation management, fitness supervisor or a related field.
• Certification (or become certified) in basic First Aid, CPR, AED. Fitness industry certifications a plus. Organized coaching experience with credentials preferred.
• Ability to lead programs in absence of staff to include, sports, fitness and wellness activities.
