TURN COMMUNITY SERVICES: WHO WE ARE
Formerly known as Project TURN, we were founded in 1973 by a group of parents who wanted better services for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now known as TURN Community Services, we provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities. With locations from Brigham City to St. George, we offer a full range of services including day programs, residential living, art center programs, summer camp, and supported employment opportunities.

WHAT YOU DO AS A DAY PROGRAM COORDINATOR
This Coordinator position is over a day program that specializes in Art, with an emphasis on writing, visual, and performance arts. This program supports up to 18 individuals and the coordinator oversees up to 5 staff members. This center specializes in teaching all forms of art; writing, drawing, singing, dancing, painting, playing various instruments, and more, as well as spending a lot of time experiencing adventures outside of their building. The Coordinator is responsible to plan and execute specific activities in all of these areas.
You're the TURN representative in the community and other professional settings, meaning you're the go-to person for all stakeholders. An exceptional communicator, you enjoy building and maintaining positive relationships. In addition to all of that, you help individuals with disabilities in the art and learning program learn various skills to gain independence in their lives. From learning personal hygiene to social skills, communication to safety, and recreation to leisure, you're there to lend a hand!
The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. In addition, flexibility to work outside of the typical schedule will be needed based on program needs and agency events. At times this may include working into the late evening and on holidays and weekends.
