Turbocam Inc is Hiring a Machine Operator - Lathe IBR (TINC-MFG) - 1st Shift Near Barrington, NH

Description

TURBOCAM's Integrally Bladed Rotor (IBR) Division is adding a Lathe Machine Operator to their team! The Machine Operator sets up, utilizes and operates assigned mill machines and supports machine procedures for the prototyping and production of machined parts.

Position Specific Responsibilities
  • Perform set-up and operation of assigned mill machine/s.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on mill machines as needed and required.
  • Report all deviations in proper machine performance to employee's direct supervisor, other shop supervisor, and/or Machine Maintenance personnel (when warranted).
  • Advise and consult with direct supervisor, and/or shop supervisor as applicable, for tools and tooling needed to complete projects.
  • Maintain fixtures and set-ups for use in specified projects as assigned by direct supervisor in conjunction with other shop supervisor when applicable.
  • Support and maintain overall shop efficiency by keeping work areas clean and safe.
  • Inspect and document all operations per TURBOCAM procedures as stated in the Quality Manual as well as per specifications of the product engineer, project manager, and direct supervisor.
  • Interpret blueprints and use various calibrated instruments to check dimensions called out on inspection reports.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience running CNC lathes and mills.
  • Good math skills.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and use calibrated instruments to check dimensions preferred.
  • Ability to advance through training matrix.
  • Attention to detail; ability to follow instructions carefully.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
  • Basic understanding of MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel desired.
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to seek out additional work when time is available.
  • Requires occasional lifting and carrying of 25-50 lbs. or more and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate physical activity requiring agility and manual dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending as well as lifting or moving objects.
  • Must be able to climb in and out of small places; crawl around machinery.
