NDT Level 2 Inspector in the Aerospace industry (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection)

Job Description:

To be considered, you must be able to perform perform FPI on aviation components. You must show prior training evidence of certification to NAS-410 and/or other certifying officials. Must be familiar with and able to read and understand relevant technical data such as clean, inspect and repair manuals, component maintenance manuals, etc. Must have the ability to evaluate visual items using the applicable and appropriate technical data.

Essential Functions of the Position:

• Perform all required inspections, tests, and evaluations certifying that aviation hardware passes FPI.
• You must have experience in using basic hand tools and setting up equipment, fixtures and parts for inspections.
• Ensure all equipment, personnel, and planning is maintained in a condition of proficient operation and quality compliance.
• Create and maintain techniques, planning, equipment, supplies, and quality assurance as necessary.
• Perform basic machine preventative maintenance, and performing calibration of equipment to known standards
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

· Experience in performing basic machine preventative maintenance, and performing calibration of equipment to known standards

· A minimum of a High School Diploma

· At least 2 years of experience as a Level II or equivalent

· Overtime is unlimited after certification, but not mandatory

*Can train in Magnetic Particle Inspection and Eddy Current Inspection if desired
