Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Supplier Quality Assurance (Day Shift) to join our team. Your typical schedule 9am - 6pm from Monday to Friday based out of our client's warehouse. However, the schedule will be dependent on the client's schedule which may vary. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of GD&T, problem-solving, and manufacturing processes. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve supplier quality issues, problem solving skills, very hands on.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) to organize third-party inspections (suppliers) as requested and ensure the production line is protected from disruptions due to incoming supplier quality issues.
• Own containment activities for all supplier-related issues, including sorting/reworking parts, when necessary, to minimize impact on production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, contain, resolve, and implement corrective actions for supplier quality issues.
• Responsible for daily reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs), including hours worked, items processed, and other relevant metrics.
• Participate in meetings and promptly investigate potential supplier quality issues, assigning ownership of defects and supporting teams with complex or major issues affecting quality or productivity.
• Conduct organizational cost and work reports for analysis and improvement purposes.
• Manage supplier liaisons/representatives at client’s factory, coordinating their support activities based on build plans and business needs.
• Jump on the production line when needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in quality, manufacturing, or process engineering roles, or leading production teams.
• Basic understanding of GD&T, problem-solving, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with supplier quality assurance in automotive or related industries is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
