Salary Range: $25.00 - $36.00 Hourly

Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Recruiting & Provider Credentialling Specialist is responsible for maintaining staffing levels for assigned departments, applicant screening, interviews and onboarding process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties may include but not limited to the following):

  1. Answers routine inquiries regarding general Human Resources information for both internal and external applicants.
  2. Recruit for posted positions through the use of job boards, job fairs, and marketing efforts and staffing agencies to fill positions.
  3. Maintains requisitions within the applicant tracking system.
  4. Reviews applications within the applicant tracking system and makes available qualified applicants to respective Managers for review.
  5. Professionally communicates with applicants on the status of their application.
  6. Coordinates interviews with departments for both internal and external candidates.
  7. On-boards new hires and transfers by administering proper paperwork and obtaining employment references and coordinating drug and alcohol tests for pre0employment requirements.
  8. Collects and inspects proper documentation as required by the USCIS for employment verification through E-Verify system.
  9. Process all new-hire paperwork including set up of new employee files.
  10. Conduct orientation and training for new employees.
  11. Maintain all personnel files through the entire employee life cycle.
  12. Coordinate with Risk Management on employee’s driving status, proof of vehicle insurance.
  13. Coordinate termination paperwork and subsequent COBRA letters for employees.
  14. Maintain record of evaluation due dates and notify Department Managers of required evaluations.
  15. Maintain security and confidentiality of specified records and information.
  16. Be a point of contact for TMWIHC HR, Risk and Benefits.
  17. Collaborate with HR Department on employee appreciation events.
  18. Will assist the Provider Enrollment Specialist in credentialing tasks.
  19. Other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be at least 21 years old.
  2. Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
  3. A minimum of one year’s experience in Human Resources or recruiting preferred.
  4. Must have strong computer skills. Prefer experience with Canva, HRIS (Paycom) and Excel.
  5. Possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written as well as organizational skills.
  6. Preference of background in the medical field.
  7. Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; and the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must possess sufficient written and verbal communication skills to be able to interact with medical professionals, vendors, and agencies in a professional manner, developing rapport and enhancing business relationships.
  8. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion and tact. Must have a general knowledge of and the ability to maintain HIPAA privacy requirements. Must sign a confidentiality statement.
  9. Must have a valid, current California Driver’s License; a personal automobile; and personal auto insurance with $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury and $100,000 property damage, or a combined $300,000 single limit. Must have a clean driving record. Must be insurable and eligible for coverage under TMWIHC policies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires walking, standing, and sitting for prolonged periods of time; climbing stairs, step-stools, etc.; stooping, kneeling, crouching, balancing, and reaching; pushing, pulling and lifting up to 30 pounds; raising objects overhead; manual dexterity for operation of computer and phones; hearing, talking, and good verbal and written communication skills; repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers; subject to outside environmental conditions of heat and cold; and walking on uneven ground.

Preference in filling vacancies will be given to qualified Native American or Alaskan Native Applicants, in accordance with the Indian preference Act (Title 25, U.S. Code Section 472 and 473) and Public Law 93-638, provided the applicant has submitted appropriate verification of Indian preference for employment. In House postings include Tribal Voting Members.

All positions require sensitivity to Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs, and ability at times to meet and deal effectively with numerous tribes and varied cultures, which requires tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness, and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature.
