8 hours per day2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR

RATE OF PAY: $174,265 - $192,838 (23-24 Pay Range)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or equivalent degree
  • Successful experience in similar financial management/leadership position in a public school district
  • Experience providing administrative oversight to non-instructional operations (transportation, food services, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience using SKYWARD finance/human resources management software or equivalent system
  • History of clean fiscal audits in prior related positions/school districts.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Proficiency in supervising and evaluating assigned staff effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to actively listen, interpret and understand stakeholder inquiries and provide timely professional responses
  • Demonstrated commitment to modeling and expecting high quality customer service from all assigned staff
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively lead financial services operations consistent with School Board and Superintendent priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare, present and communicate complex financial information to a variety of stakeholder groups, including community service organizations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide leadership and oversight to all components of District financial resources and assigned operations in support of the district’s educational mission and strategic plan
  • Prepare annual financial statements and submit/present monthly financial report to Superintendent and School Board
  • Develop and administer levies and bonds and associated financial functions as directed by superintendent
  • Provide financial reports and analysis to support decision-making and accountability to the public
  • Align resources with district goals and priorities through budget development and management

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, organize, coordinate and implement programs
  • Develop an positive supportive working relationships with all staff and stakeholders relationship
  • Effectively plan, prioritize and manage multiple complex projects/responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to use positive interpersonal skills in assisting staff with program implementation, performance of support functions, customer service, problem-solving, and professional conflict-resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and evaluate staff
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal programs and requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public presentations
