Job Summary:

Tulla Patisserie & Cafe is eager to welcome a talented Barista to join our team. Our ideal candidate has an upbeat demeanor, strong people skills, passion for culinary arts and some professional training or experience in the pastry industry would be helpful. With tips this position pays about $18.00 Per hour.

Deliver an exceptional guest experience and a quality product in a timely fashion. Practice strong communication effectively with our guests and Managers. Make decisions based on what is right fo our guests. Maintain a clean work environment. Abide by health department code regulations regarding food sanitation and handling. Manage all money exchanges in the store by takings orders and ringing up transactions. Assists Head Baker or Manager in prepping and/or finishing pastry products. . Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience coupled with quality product in a timely fashion
• Practice strong communication skills with our guests, the Head Baker on duty, and your manager
• Actively make decisions to uphold a great guest experience
• Maintain a clean work environment - Clean or sanitize work & dining areas, utensils, or equipment.
• Restock the pastry case with new items as necessary
• Abide by all health code requirements. Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Manage the sales of the store by taking orders and ringing up guests
• Adhere to company standards, including personal hygiene and appearance
• Adhere to health department codes regarding food sanitation and handling
• Perform other duties assigned by management

Qualifications:

• You must be a person with people skills
• You must be available to work Wednesday - Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm plus some Saturday and Sundays.
• You must be willing to go above and beyond to ensure each and every guest has an amazing experience
• You must be committed to positivity in any circumstance
• Hard work! You must possess the ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• You must possess the ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
• You must possess or obtain a Texas food handler certificate
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
