Position Summary:
The Registered Dietitian assists in the implementation and management of dietary lifestyle interventions for clinical trials. Specific responsibilities include development of dietary intervention programs and educational materials, conducting group and individual dietary assessment and counseling sessions, and assisting with other activities related to the implementation and conduct of the clinical trials.
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or another health science field.
· CDR Registered Dietitian (RD), licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Examiners
· 1 year of experience in dietary assessment, meal planning/prepping, and nutrient analysis.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities/Competencies:
· Proficient skills in nutrition education/counseling.
· Excellent interpersonal skills for working with patients.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Highly organized and detail-oriented.
· Working knowledge of clinical research protocols.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
· Proficient with Microsoft applications.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience working with patients to meet physical activity guidelines.
· Experience working with patients in a group setting.
