Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, restocking products, and maximizing sales opportunities. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Duties:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers
- Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Stock shelves and ensure merchandise is properly displayed
- Upsell products to increase sales revenue
- Assist with inventory management and restocking
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Knowledge of retail math principles for pricing and discounts
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems for transaction processing
- Ability to upsell products and promote add-on items to customers
- Proficiency in operating a cash register accurately
- Technical sales knowledge to assist customers with product selection
