Job Description:
As a Laboratory Technician with Tug River Health Association you will play a crucial role in our patient care team, responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing biological specimens. You will work closely with our healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate test results to aid in diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Collect blood, tissue, or other samples from patients, observing strict protocols to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Process and prepare specimens for analysis or shipment.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests and procedures as directed by laboratory protocol and healthcare providers.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is operating efficiently and effectively.
• Record and report test results with high accuracy and speed, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in the inventory management of laboratory supplies and order replacements as necessary.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Phlebotomist.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
