SUMMARY Collaborates with District staff, parents and students to identify high risk students for future prevention services. May visit students and parents in the home to determine cause for absenteeism, academic or discipline problems. Monitors these students as they enter and go through school to determine impact of prevention activities.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSValid Arizona teaching Certificate Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card

Five years teaching experience at the grade levels appropriate to position filled. 

Verbal & Written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Valid Driver’s License

PREFERED REQUIREMENTSMaster’s Degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum & Instruction or related field

Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino studentsBilingual (Spanish) EndorsementADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIREProof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day Work Calendar: 9.5 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
