TOPCU, a progressive and innovative Tucson Credit Union, where the work is rewarding, and your contribution is recognized, is seeking an experienced Member Service Representative to join our team.
You would be responsible for:
- Building relationships with our members to ensure our service reputation.
- Originate and open all types of member share, share-draft, share certificate, IRA and all other types of member deposit accounts.
- Educate the members and cross sell products that will allow them to reach their financial goals.
- Make effective referrals to other specialists when appropriate.
- Execute and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely manner.
You will have effective time management skills and be a team player that consistently aspires to grow and improve.

Requirements
We are looking for someone that is willing to become a certified financial counselor; exams and study materials will be paid for and provided by TOPCU. We also look for a combination of:
- Strong customer service experience
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to master new computer systems quickly
- Ability to make product/service recommendations that meet members financial needs

Tucson Old Pueblo Credit Union was established in 1935 when Fire Captain John Slatz Freeman and 19 other men pooled their resources to form Tucson Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union. The first branch was at Fire Station One in downtown Tucson and the hours of operation were whenever there wasnt a fire. The firefighters invited the police department and all City of Tucson employees to be part of the credit union.
