Scope:
  • Lead the Quality Engineering department, Quality Management System (QMS), and quality assurance disciplines and culture throughout TTM North America
  • Manage the QMS to ensure compliance to ISO9001, AS9100, and other supporting standards
  • Partner with Program Managers and TTM project teams quality solutions and improvements in support of key customers
  • Represent TTM and work directly with our customers, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Work closely with the multiple TTM sites around the world on best practice sharing and lessons learned.
  • Define and establish continuous improvement standards and drive culture throughout North America
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, improve, monitor, and report to leadership on an ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliant quality systems. Establish requirements for implementation of Quality Information Systems to drive improvement. Through failure analysis, customer surveys, and corrective actions, work with Engineering and Program Office to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Develop, implement, maintain, improve, monitor, and report on quality policies and procedures compliant to ISO 9001, AS9100, Nadcap, and other key 3rd party certifications. Ensure quality procedures are developed for new and evolving business activities
  • Successfully define and implement corporate quality policies and quality management systems in the context of building an end-to-end framework for measuring and improving quality across all operations
  • Direct and conduct corporate quality system and product audits to ensure compliance to quality system requirements and product specifications.
  • Establish and coordinate requirements for the quality information systems and reports to include cost of quality, defects, supplier quality reliability, customer complaints, first pass yield rates, and others as appropriate; ensure that the information is consistent and valid, and is used to drive quality improvement
  • Define and establish continuous improvement culture, including maturity improvement across all North America sites.
  • Assist in identifying quality training needs relative to technical skill levels and trends in quality measurements, and establish programs to meet these and other training needs of the organization
  • Support sites and customers in successfully closing and addressing significant quality issues and keep TTM leadership informed on progress
  • Support regular customer reviews and visits for major North America customers to review TTM quality performance, present failure analysis, and communicate root cause corrective actions.
  • Interface directly with TTM contracts and customers in requirement negotiations and reviews
  • Lead robust Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) for significant customer related issues
  • Work between sites to share lessons learned and best practices across North American sites

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Full understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality system standards is essential
  • Good oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Excellent human relations skills are needed to influence, lead, and motivate at all levels in the organization
  • Technical literacy, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • In depth knowledge of quality systems, policies and procedures and the ability to apply that knowledge towards the interpretation of customer requirements
  • In depth experience working with defense industry quality requirements (i.e., DFARs, FAI, AS9100, ISO9001, DPA, IPC1791)
  • General knowledge of statistics and statistical process control
  • Diverse knowledge of inspection control methods, techniques, and standards
  • Familiar with continuous improvement initiatives such as 6S, 8D, Poke Yoke, Jidoka, Andon, Zero Defect Methodology, DOE, PFMEA’s, TPM.
  • Capable of developing and executing effective plans; identifying obstacles and countermeasures as well as communicating effectively to achieve individual and group goals
  • Proficient and structured problem solving and effectively leading others in root cause and corrective/Preventative action analysis
  • Domestic Travel required up to 30% of the time.
Education and Experience:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred
Required Experience:
  • 8 years of relevant experience, working in a quality leadership capacity
  • Previous experience working within or closely with the PCB industry
Export/ITAR Statement:
Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC. b) Reinforce to all employees the commitment of TTM management to abide by all US Export laws and regulations. c) Understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL). d) Support Export Compliance Officers and others in their efforts to ensure compliance with the Corporate Export policies through implementation and enforcement of these procedures, provide training to all facilities and departments and support periodic audits as required. e) Provide feedback to Corporate Export Compliance Office for continuous improvement of procedures and overall Export Compliance program.
