Carolina Metal Recyclers Welder and Fabricator -(2nd Shift)
Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. May have to clamp configurations and positions for welding. This is an outdoor position in a scrap metal environment. Other duties as assigned by manager including non-welding maintenance.

• Must pass welding test and supply your own face shield.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18-23/hour (depending on experience)

Schedule:

• 10-hour shift
• 2nd shift Monday-Friday 4pm-2am, (weekends as needed)
• Overtime

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Experience:

• SMAW/Stick welding: 5 years (Required)
• Shredder Maintenance Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
