TSUNAMI RESTAURANT AND SUSHI BAR is Hiring a Floor Manager Near South Jordan, UT

Tsunami is locally owned and operated restaurant chain that has been in operation for over 20 years. Tsunami is currently hiring for the following position:

Floor Manager

The Floor Manager position is responsible for guest engagement and leading our staff to ensure flawless operations from our dining rooms to our kitchens. We are looking for individuals with the desire to lead, teach and inspire their staff to be the best they can be for our guests and each other. We want someone with high standards and the eagerness to learn as well. Our managers enjoy a quality of life that most restaurants do not offer inducing: better hours, the freedom to think outside the box, two days off a week and engage in style of management that is enjoyable and rewarding. Pay: $21-$28 per hour D.O.E.

Duties

  • Employee hiring, training and development.
  • Creating a professional, safe, and energetic work environment.
  • Detailed logging and reporting of daily occurrences of restaurant activity.
  • Greet incoming and departing Guests and ensure that all customers’ expectations are being met.
  • Supervise all staff in accordance with the operational standards, procedures, and policies. Ensure a safe and secure work and dining environment for personnel and guests.
  • Writing schedules
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all menu changes.
  • Inventory Management.
  • Ensure clean and sanitized restaurants that are adhering to state health requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-years’ experience in a full-service restaurant. Floor manager experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Able to work 8 hour-plus shifts, with extensive standing and walking.
  • Full time availability; available to work closing shifts and holidays.
  • Polished and professional appearance.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be legally able to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to perform each position in the restaurant.
  • Must be familiar with restaurant sales techniques.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft office tools, including excel. Experience with HotSchedules a plus!

Required Skills

  • Strong communication skills; being able to effectively communicate with guest, staff and members of the leadership team.
  • Dependable, reliable, professional, and motivated.
  • A keen eye for details and maintaining a clean, sanitized, and organized restaurant which adheres to health code requirements.
  • Basic accounting skills required.

Education and Certification Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma.
  • Must have a current food handler permit prior to onboarding.
  • Must have a current alcohol serving certification prior to onboarding.
