Position: Maintenance Coordinator

Reports To: Maintenance Chief Engineer

Direct reports: Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Staff, Maintenance Associates

Qualifications: Good understanding of facility and equipment maintenance. Good written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills. Previous supervision experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and coordinate activities involved in the maintenance of facilities and equipment.

• Supervise and provide work direction for maintenance and repair work of facilities and equipment.

• Maintain operating condition of building and equipment.

• Researches, plans and prepares proposals for procurement of equipment and tools.

• Diagnose any problems and determine necessary repairs needed.

• Implement preventative maintenance schedule to ensure work orders are released in a timely manner.

• Supervises inventories of machine replacement parts, materials and supplies to maintain proper levels.

• Consult and be a point of contact with outside vendors for any building or equipment needs.

• Ensure company compliance with state and federal codes and laws.

• Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.

• Ensure safe operations.

• Have the ability to establish and execute a monthly plan.

• Must execute action items per the annual business plan to help achieve section key metrics (downtime reduction, cost reduction).

• Will ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.

• Administer performance reviews.

• All other duties as assigned.

• Requires extensive knowledge of Maintenance practices and procedures.
