Position summary:

This position requires translation and interpreting support for the CCR (Corporate Commercial Relations) Division. Activities will range from small group meetings to large company wide meetings or events. Must be able to meet established deadlines with limited supervision.

Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree (4 year degree) or 2yr equivalent job experience in a related field
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Products; use of PowerPoint and Acrobat Reader are required
• Bilingual (Japanese and English) business level fluency required with proof of professional training or equivalency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to handle multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor in a fast paced environment
• Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and to overseas locations as required
• Excellent research skills

Primary Position Responsibilities:

• Support CCR activities by translating documents as well as interpreting ranging from small meetings to large company wide meetings within established deadlines
• Support other Division activities by translating documents as well as interpreting meetings as assigned
• Translate various documents for presentations, projects, emails, etc. in a timely manner
• Work as a Communication bridge for Japanese and American management by interpreting conversations both inside and outside meetings as needed
• Confidential observation of sensitive conversations and company documents
• Translate and/or interpret English and Japanese as necessary
• Represent the company in a professional manner to other group companies and to the community
• Other duties as assigned
