TruWest Holdings is Hiring a Chief Operating Officer Near Westlake, OH

We are searching for a dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to closely collaborate with the TruWest executive leadership team to create, plan, and execute on the company’s goals. This position holds significant importance in our organization, offering forward-thinking leadership, efficient management, and visionary oversight. This newly created position will play a pivotal role in the ongoing integration of two of TruWest Holdings fastest growing portfolio companies – TRG and Inversion6. From managing a Security Operations Center (SOC) to overseeing our warehouse operations, this leader will not only drive operational procedures but will work hand-in-hand with leadership to improve operational efficiency and identify cost control opportunities. They will collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy and hiring levels. The COO will also be a key contributor in formulating policies, procedures, and internal service level agreements (SLAs) to uphold our elevated standards of customer satisfaction. Leading the way in our strategic approach, the COO will offer vital perspectives and manage the execution of our product roadmap strategies. Using this strategic approach, we aim to promote the organization's effective growth and financial robustness.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement plans for the Integration of systems, processes, products, services and people within Inversion 6 and TRG to accommodate rapid growth objectives.
  • Manage and provide strategic leadership and oversight of assigned activities and functions, such as warehouse, deployment, service technicians, parts, shipping, etc. and ensure that all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded.
  • Work cross-organizationally to establish policies that promote company culture and vision.
  • Measure the effectiveness of all internal and external processes and provide reports on same to company leadership.
  • Analyze operations to evaluate performance of the company and its staff in meeting objectives and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
  • Develop strategic direction of our SOC as an organizational value driver; drive efficiencies of scale across key partners with shared goals.
  • Operationalize and lead an integrated SOC by providing strategic, tactical, technical, and operational oversight. Manage and improve daily operations and escalations.
  • Guide the organization's development to secure future growth while simultaneously overseeing the achievement of both short-term and long-term financial and operational objectives.
  • Maintain high-quality standards, rapid response times, high-reliability, and cost-effective operations through the implementation of strategic plan for rapid scaling of operational capacity, including automation, process improvements, and productivity measures.
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement.
  • Implement business strategies and plans that align with short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO.
  • Effectively communicate with technical teams by deciphering technical jargon to understand core issues and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Learn and leverage technologies in place for tracking KPIs, delivering services, and identifying new technologies as needed that align with business and customer needs.
  • Understand and communicate the business impact of delivered technologies.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum ten years operational experience, with five in senior management.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, analysis, and overseeing departments.
  • Proficient in Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, or Statistical Process Control.
  • Skills in organizational development, personnel management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse leadership.
  • Demonstrates integrity, credibility, and commitment to the corporate mission.
  • Flexible and adept at multitasking in a dynamic environment, guiding priorities and investments.
  • Use Excel and ERP systems to analyze data for the purpose of evaluating and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in mergers, acquisitions, and integrations on the multinational level.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

  • Showcase robust process experience, including governance of process execution.
  • Identify and resolve gaps or deficiencies in offerings and/or their delivery.
