Overview

The purpose of this job is to build and maintain the Control and file transfer systems. This position will assist in making sure workflows and outputs are done timely. 

This position may be filled as a level I, II or III based on additional qualifications and experience required.

Responsibilities

• Build and update schedules under the direction of the senior team members
• Build and update file transfers under the direction of the senior team members
• Test and promote in a controlled environment
• Develop and update ongoing documentation

Scheduler II additional responsibilities:

• Ensure schedules are built to maximize system efficiency
• Communicate with applications and business units to develop processes
• Communicate with internal and external customers for file transfer development
• Assist in maintaining report management system RDMS
• Update, maintain, and participate in all phases of disaster recovery.
• Administer operation support for in-house users
• Implement and maintain AFP on laser printers
• Maintain report distribution management system (RDMS)

Scheduler III additional responsibilities:

• Indirectly supervise schedulers
• Training of Operators as needed
• Input into policies associated with the job
• Assume basic managerial tasks in the event of the Scheduling Managers absence
• Assist in maintaining report management systems RDMS
• Manager CTRL_M Scheduling duties
• Responsible for ensuring that all internal reporting is complete and correct
• System solution decisions as minor issues arise
• Determine what areas the Operators must be trained

Qualifications

• High school education
• Minimum of 2 years Computer Operator experience
• Understanding of file transfer concepts
• Knowledge of the TSO operating system
• Interpersonal Skills
• Communication Skills
• Time Management skills to prioritize the workload
• Advanced computer skills

Additional Level II requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of scheduling experience
• Strong knowledge of the TSO operating system Knowledge of, RDMS, and CICS

Additional Level III requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience in scheduling environment
• Leadership skills
• Advanced knowledge of TSO operating system
• Strong knowledge of the BMC CTRL_M Suite

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• Rotating on call
• Sit for extended amount of time
