Posted Job Title University Scholars Program Coordinator Job Profile Title Coordinator, Program Job Description Summary The University Scholars Program Coordinator in CURF reporting to the Sr. Associate Director for Undergraduate Research, supports the Faculty Director for UScholars by coordinating all activities related to the program, including but not limited to, managing programming, coordinating annual recruitment and selection processes, managing program databases and the budget, maintaining the website, Canvas site, and social media. In addition, the UScholars Program Coordinator serves as an adviser for UScholars summer funding applications. The UScholars Program Coordinator is an active member of the Undergraduate Research team in CURF, supporting programming and events such as the Fall Research Expo and Spring Research Symposium. May be expected to work some evening and weekend hours. Job Description Job Responsibilities Meet regularly with and support the UScholars Faculty Director in implementing UScholars programming and activities; serve as the point of contact for UScholars Faculty Council. Implement annual selection and recruiting for incoming UScholars with the Faculty Director, CURF Executive Director, Sr. Associate Director for Undergraduate Research, and Admissions liaison; Manage the on-campus application process for UScholars. Coordinate weekly the annual Yearly Launch Reception and weekly UScholars lunch meetings by rostering students for research talks, ordering catering, setting up AV, and monitoring attendance. Coordinate the UScholars Peer Mentor Groups, matching incoming UScholars with upper-level Scholars who will serve as a source of information about getting started in research at Penn and as a social support for participating in the UScholars program. Manage UScholars databases and budgets; maintain accurate fund balances for University Scholars; maintain accurate student lists and conduct annual scholar audits. Work with CURF Assistant Director to assess UScholars programs; prepare data for reporting; manage UScholars website, Canvas site, and social media; annually update the UScholars Handbook. Advise UScholars on summer funding applications and coordinate the annual summer research funding grant application and awarding process. Support the Undergraduate Research team with planning and implementation of the annual Fall Research Expo and Sprong Research Symposium. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. Master's degree with 3-5 years of related experience preferred. Excellent organizational skills; excellent interpersonal and communications skills; previous experience managing complex academic program preferred.
