The Grant Project Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of a 4-year grant for the Penn Literacy Network at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. This position is contingent upon grant funding until June 30, 2026. Job Description Project Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive project plan, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Foster collaboration among project team members, faculty, and stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to achieving grant goals. Operations Management: Establish and optimize operational processes to support the successful execution of the grant, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Regularly assess project operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance workflow. Coordinate all aspects of project fulfillment, from resource allocation to timeline management and quality assurance. Work closely with Penn GSE teams to guarantee compliance with grant guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements. Program Coordination: Coordinate across other projects in PLN to support the operations and implementation of projects across various sites of practice and coordinate work, daily schedules, and communications. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining transparent and regular communication. Provide timely updates on project progress, milestones achieved, and any challenges encountered, fostering a sense of engagement and partnership. Research Coordination: Collaborate with research teams and faculty to facilitate the seamless integration of research activities into the project timeline. Oversee data collection, analysis, and interpretation, ensuring alignment with the overarching goals of the grant. Budget Management: Take responsibility for the management of project budgets, ensuring resources are optimally allocated to meet grant objectives. Collaborate closely with finance teams to monitor financial performance, track expenditures, and generate regular reports. Perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL: A Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will be extremely well-organized and resourceful. They must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be a self-starter with a results orientation. Understanding of regulatory compliance issues required. Familiarity with middle and high schools, and in grant operations. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential with the ability to communicate effectively across all stakeholders. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to thrive in a diverse working environment. High accuracy, dependability, and attention to detail will be vital to success in the position. Proficiency and comfort with Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) as well as web-based communications and database/tracking tools (e.g. Airtable, Google tools, Zoom) is required. PREFERRED: A Master’s degree is preferred. Experience in project management is desired.
