Unit Description:
Join Trusted Nurse Staffing as a Med-Surg Registered Nurse in the Daly 3 Observation Unit, a 38-bed short stay unit located in Springfield, MA. This unit specializes in providing care for patients admitted under observation status, typically from the Emergency Department, who require additional testing before discharge, such as echocardiograms, stress tests, MRIs, and more.

Unit Size/Beds: 38

Expected Ratios: Up to 1:7 (Aim for 1:6)

Cases Seen: ACS rule out, TIA rule out, Pain Control, Some overnight Surgical cases

Years of Experience Preferred: Minimum 2 years

Certifications Required: Telemetry

Responsibilities:
As an RN with us, you'll deliver high-quality care while adhering to compliance guidelines (OSHA, FDA, HIPAA). You'll provide competent care based on established standards, assuming expanded roles like charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities under the direction of the Nurse Manager.

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification
• 2 years of Telemetry Experience Required
• Med Surg and/or Surgical Experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• IV insertion skills preferred but not required

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Professional Nurse with current licensure in the state of Massachusetts
• CPR, ACLS, and BCLS Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance
