We have an immediate opening for a qualified Armed Security Guard supporting the Maryland Military Headquarters in Baltimore.

The duties of the Armed Security Guard include:
· Provide courteous timely service continuously while maintaining control of all personnel and vehicles entering the installation.
· Control all personnel and vehicles departing the installation.
· Conduct inspections of vehicles at the designated vehicle inspection point.
· Perform individual identification checks.
· Issue visitor passes at the main entry gate/entrance foyer.
· Direct traffic at access control points.
· Perform emergency procedures for gate closure.

Weekdays: 10am - 6pm & Wed-Fri: 10am - 2pm
Weekdays: 2pm - 10pm

Qualifications:
· Must be a citizen of the United States.
· Must have two years of armed security guard experience.
· Must meet training requirements for State-level armed security guards in the State of Maryland.
· Possess knowledge of procedures and experience with the use of wire and radio communications.
· Be proficient in English the language (i.e. read, write, speak).
· Must have the ability to write incident reports and statements.
· Possess a valid Maryland Armed Guard License.
· Possess a valid Maryland State weapons permit.
· Possess a current Red Cross or other CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
· Possess a valid drivers license.
· Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
· Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
· Must pass a physical examination; be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds, endure frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, stooping, climbing, crawling, jumping, occasional running or sprinting.
· Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
· Be trained in the use of Baton and Pepper Spray.

Term: Base and four (4) Option Periods
Salary: $17.00 per hour
Hours: 24/7
