This is a VIBRANT, key role with our industry's leader Truss Craft of Nebraska, a Mead Lumber Company.

Mead Lumber, founded in 1910, is 100% Employee Owned, and listed in the Lumber Building Materials Journal as the 18 largest Pro Contractor lumber/building materials retailer in the country. Mead operates 53 Lumber Yard, Retail, Truss Plant, and Component locations across nine Midwestern states. Truss Craft has been manufacturing trusses for over 13 years and is regionally known for its quality and service.

This is an excellent opportunity for a "hands on" person with a good work ethic and carpentry aptitude in a high pace production environment. Some lifting required. Light carpentry experience preferred but will train the right candidate.

The Assembler is primarily responsible for safely, accurately, and efficiently assemble wood and metal components into a roof truss, floor, truss, and/or wall panel finished product in accordance with design measurements and specifications.

• Accurately place pre-cut wood component members onto jig in accordance with truss or wall panel design.
• Join wood component members together utilizing staple gun.
• Accurately measure dimension of truss or wall panel to ensure accuracy and quality of build in accordance with design.
• Place metal connector plate components at joints for permanent application in accordance with design.
• Send finished product to packaging/shipping section of the production line.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• No previous experience is required but would be helpful and is appreciated.
