Trusnik Brothers Investments is Hiring an EHS Specialist (JOB ID 789) Near Carrollton, GA

Required Skills:

  • 3 years’ experience in an Environmental, Health, & Safety role
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • VPP process and various safety regulations or standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI and/or NEC, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Health and Safety, Management, environmental or related field

Additional Skills:

  • Experience working for a wire and cable manufacturer.
  • ISO 14001 Environmental Certification

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coach management and associates at all levels to ensure compliance with all EHS program expectations and applicable federal & state laws for day-to-day activities;
  • Conducting risk assessments related to jobs performed by associates and suggesting risk mitigation strategies through programs such as; Job Safety Analysis, ergonomics process, machine safeguarding, etc.;
  • Training and assisting others (managers, associates, etc.) to complete their safety and compliance responsibilities (audits, following safety rules, etc.);
  • Conducting appropriate inspections and audits, and ensuring corrective actions are monitored and documented;
  • Maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate-based reporting systems;
  • Enforcing compliance with EHS programs;
  • Completing and documenting all regulatory compliance activities according to regulatory deadlines;
  • Completing, documenting, and submitting required EHS reports and recordkeeping information;
  • Conducting EHS training as needed, including new associate and contractor orientation;
  • Responding to and investigating events including injuries and near-miss events. Drive closure of effective corrective/preventive actions, as assigned;
  • Updating Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and external supplier evaluation software
  • Respond to emergencies when they arise.
  • Handling associate complaints as they relate to EHS.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned, in support of the EHS Continuum.
  • Non-Essential function(s)
  • Participating in company committees/activities outside of EHS responsibilities, such as Employee Resource Groups & Project GIFT.
