Job OverviewSouth Tama County Elementary School in Tama is looking for an experienced K-4 Special Education endorsed teacher to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a passion for helping students learn, grow and develop as well as hold proper endorsements.
Job Responsibilities
Typical Hours - 7:45 am to 3:45 pm (8 hrs)

Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver daily lesson plans that are designed to help students fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
- Provide a variety of learning materials for use in educational activities that are at student ability levels
- Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
- Manage student behavior in the classroom
- Provide extra assistance for students with academic problems
- K-6 or K-12 Iowa Teaching License required
- K-6 or K-12 Special Education Endorsement (will consider candidates eligible for Conditional License)
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solver
- Professional in appearance and demeanor
- Ability to multi-task
- High work standards
