Purpose: Regional Agronomist focusing on customer and field trial agronomic data. Individual will work with customers and internal team members to ensure customer satisfaction with field information, agronomic research, and precision ag infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
  • Support customers in the collection, transmission, sharing and analysis of data.
  • Manages Customer JDLink Subscriptions and Connectivity Access.
  • Provides customer support and administrative guidance for Operation Center.
  • Participates in Precision Ag (AMS) Call Support system.
  • Develop and distribute scheduled Operations Center clinics for customer and internal training.
  • Conducts customer visits to drive engagement with programs and services being offered.
  • Monitors precision ag infrastructure system to avoid customer down time.
  • Develops yearly goals to drive customer adoption of Operations Center and other web portal options offered.
  • Develops, coordinates, and executes internal and John Deere sponsored field trials.
  • Maintains a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Ensure that company's reputation and image in the community is consistent with company core values.
  • May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
  • Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
  • Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:
  • 5 years' experience in an agriculture-related role.
  • Dealership or external Agronomic and Georeferencing education.
  • Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs.
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions as well as dealer business systems.
  • Solid organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations and customers.
  • Previous agronomic work with producers preferred.
  • Certified Crop Advisor certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Associate degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required; Driving record that meets Employer's insurance company requirements.
