Here’s a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Team up with digital strategists, experience designers, site developers, subject matter experts, legal and compliance partners, and other key stakeholders to deliver distinctive online experiences with compelling content.
2. Be the Truist brand voice by championing our verbal identity principles through effective content strategy, writing, editing, peer review, agency consultation, ongoing training and education, and pair writing with subject matter experts.
3. Analyze, plan, develop, and implement content strategy to meet business goals for aligned team(s). This includes understanding product value propositions, audiences, working with user research teammates, applying behavioral science principles, establishing content guidelines, and optimizing content delivery processes.
4. Write and edit copy that’s quickly engaging, easy to understand, on-brand, and backed by data and research. Use UX writing to guide site visitors through the optimal user experience, making next steps clear and actionable.
5. Partner with content team by participating in standards discussions, peer reviews, and fostering cross-segment and cross-channel alignment.
6. Keep current with best practices, digital trends, usability, accessibility, SEO, and industry trends.
7. Champion editorial style by following, promoting, and adding to grammar and format guidelines to ensure quality, consistency, and brand alignment across product families within Truist.
8. Lead with strategy by understanding, applying, and disseminating content best practices in cross-functional teams.
9. Adopt new and existing technology to capture, store, repurpose, deliver, and preserve Truist content.
10. Practice quality assurance procedures at each deliverable stage to maintain content integrity and ensure that content meets project specifications and standards.
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, English or related field, or equivalent education and related training
2. Five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3. In-depth knowledge and expertise of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with content marketing and the Marketing discipline (e.g., Marketing P’s, Market research, analytics, digital)
4. Experience managing or leading projects or project work streams and operates as a lead in a
specialty capacity
5. Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and the factors that differentiate Truist and its competitors in the market
6. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders
7. Ability to provide direction, coaching and mentor experienced teammates
8. Fluent in Excel and PowerPoint, preparing presentations for senior level teammates
