Please review the following job description:

Experienced management role leading a team of analysts and senior analysts in the delivery of complex and comprehensive risk reporting, data, business intelligence, and related services. Role is primarily aligned to support stakeholders, needs, and initiatives within the Risk Management Organization, but can also support other areas of Truist.

LOCATION:

Candidate must be located in one of the following locations:

  • Charlotte, NC - 214 N Tryon

  • Atlanta, GA - 303 Peachtree Street

Hybrid work environment; 3 days in office - no full remote/telecommute

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Help advance climate risk-related priorities, including scenario analysis, credit risk integration, and analysis of specific portfolios and industry sectors.

2. Support various items related to integrating climate-related risks into the overall risk taxonomy, such as risk identification and establishing metrics.

3. Enhance climate risk reporting efforts, including risk assessments, dashboards, and metrics (e.g., KRIs and limits).

4. Develop presentations for a range of key stakeholders and groups, including business leaders, risk executives, and management- and board-level committees.

5. Manage deliverables for the team against expected results with a focus on operational and tactical activities.

6. Partner with key stakeholders throughout the organization to manage projects and advance climate risk initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent

2. 10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

3. In-depth and broad knowledge within own professional discipline. Solid understanding of key business processes and strategies.

4. Knowledge of the external environment, including Truist's competition, regulatory requirements and trends, and the strategies employed to continually meet the demands of clients and regulators. 

5. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences. Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective and handle interpersonal issues with tact and diplomacy. 

6. Ability to exercise judgment and sophisticated skills in solving complex technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.

7. Ability to manage a team, including identifying and recruiting talent, managing performance, and making decisions about resource allocation.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Graduate degree in related field

2. 12 years of related experience

3. Previous experience in banking, with specific emphasis on finance, reporting, bank regulations, data, risk or related areas

4. Relevant professional or technical certifications, including CFA or GARP Sustainability and Climate Risk certificate
