Purpose: The Assistant Branch Manger will maintain an efficient workflow and open communication in the Branch while handling more complex member services that may be of a sensitive nature, assisting members and employees as needed, coordinating an increase of membership through relationships outside the branch, and acting as the Branch Manager in the Branch Manager’s absence.
Responsibilities:
1. Assists the Branch Manager in cash vault management, cash vault money orders, cash vault verification and Member Service Specialist drawer replenishments.
2. Balances daily withdrawal and loan check totals to daily Branch totals.
3. Maintains knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to credit union operations; assists the Branch Manager in ensuring regulatory compliance.
4. Assists members with account balancing and account problem resolution as required.
5. Prepares mailings of daily work to the Boise office.
6. Assists Member Service Specialists in their nightly drawer balancing as required.
7. Facilitates open communication within Branch and communicates with Director, Branch Services as required.
8. Assists the Branch Manager in directing Branch operations as requested; helps plan, recommend and implement programs, policies and marketing campaigns.
9. Performs the duties of Member Service Specialist when necessary.
10. Promotes teamwork.
11. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with grocery employees, managers, and business owners in the community, as well as the general public.
12. Coordinates and manages community growth projects.
13. Prepares and reports progress on projects, monitoring until complete.
14. Creates and maintains a list of local businesses to be contacted for business communication programs.
15. Collaborates with business owners and managers and prepares periodic reports concerning businesses.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Incumbent must be able to move throughout the Credit Union Branch and perform a variety of physical activities to accomplish the goals of the Credit Union. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach and stoop. Must be able to open fire proof file drawers. Manual dexterity in the operation of calculating machines and computer keyboards is required. Working conditions are characterized in part by normal office conditions in a temperature controlled environment sitting at a desk or computer terminal.
