Job Title: Skilled Laborer

Rate Of Pay: $25.00-$30.00 an hour based on experience.

Job Summary:

As a Laborer with our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our heavy equipment operators and ensuring the smooth progress of construction, Gading, Paving, Excavation, Septic Systems, or demolition projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting with equipment setup, maintenance, and cleanup, as well as providing general support to the operator team. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the heavy equipment industry and contribute to the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist heavy equipment operators in setting up machinery and preparing work sites for construction, excavation, or demolition projects.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or hand tools.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on heavy equipment, including cleaning, greasing, and refueling.
• Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites as needed.
• Support operators during equipment operation by signaling, spotting, or providing assistance as directed.
• Assist with the assembly and disassembly of temporary structures or equipment components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storing tools and materials properly.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or lead operators.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, carrying, and operating hand tools.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn about heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Willing to travel to various locations as work arises.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Have reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Exposure to loud noise, vibrations, and dust.
• Physical exertion and repetitive motions are common.
• May be required to work at heights or in confined spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
