Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operational management of a fast-growing upscale retail bridal boutique
  • Foster continued development of store and staff through ongoing recruitment, training and coaching
  • Contribute to strategic store improvements
  • Manage and optimize staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands and maximize all sales opportunities
  • Communicate daily/weekly sales goals to the team and own the responsibility for in-store KPI performance.
  • Manage monthly operational and overhead expenses and identify opportunities for improvement to drive net profit
  • Follow and enforce retail policies, procedures, standards and schedules that drive store growth and operational success
  • Oversee inventory optimization and stock performance
  • Manage the team to deliver timely and accurate completion of receiving new stock or brides’ orders, quality inspections, gown maintenance or repairs, and quarterly inventory audits
  • Coordinate and lead the execution of in-store events, external community events, and promotions
  • Gain a strong knowledge of the bridal industry

Qualifications

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree level in Retail/Fashion or related degree strongly preferred; equivalent relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years retail management experience. Previous bridal sales or other apparel industry-related management experience preferred, yet not essential
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive people leader who takes personal ownership of all in-store activities to deliver store performance objectives aligned with the annual business plan
  • A smart business operator who enjoys executing store procedures while ensuring compliance to global standards.
  • Strong customer service approach with ability to build relationships with customers and solve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Proven retail sales ability demonstrated by consistent attainment of sales goals in prior positions
  • Ability to lead and thrive in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and adaptability are a requirement
  • Exhibits teamwork, objectivity, and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit
  • Physical ability to move throughout the store, lift and move up to 25 lbs., kneel, stand and work on feet most of the time
