True North Wellness is Hiring a Medical Biller In Growing Beaverton Clinic Near Beaverton, OR

Position Summary:

Our busy chiropractic/medical clinic is looking for a candidate that has an independent work ethic to dig into denials, insurance payments and clean up aging accounts on MVA, private insurance and personal payor accounts. Our ideal candidate would be interested in a contract position to start with and an option to be hired on and fulfill other job duties at the clinic, if interested.

About Us:

We are a growing Chiropractic Clinic that is in the process of Integrating to a full medical clinic with multiple providers. We need a medical biller to help with this transition and assist with credentialing. Bonus will be available after 90 days based on performance of the clinic. Primary responsibilities include:

1. Submit insurance claims on a daily basis, both electronically and by mail.

2. Assist with answering phones and troubleshooting insurance coverage questions.

3. Follow-up on outstanding AR to ensure timely payment to the clinic.

Secondary duties include:

1. Check out patients: explain insurance benefits, calculate out-of-pocket expenses, and collect payments.

Requirements/Experience Include:

1. You must have a independent work ethic

2. Experience with Microsoft Office, medical electronic insurance claims submission, and posting insurance payments is a MUST. Bonus points if experienced in Availity, Office Ally,

Base hourly wages will be based on experience with an option to convert a percentage of AR collected as a commission.

Education & Experience:

    *Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related area of study *5 years of billing experience preferred *2 years of medical billing experience preferred *2 years working in a private practice preferred *HR Certification preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)

Requirements/Experience Include:

1. You must be open to working a flexible schedule ~30-35 hours per week.

2. Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, medical electronic insurance claims submission, and posting insurance payments is a MUST. Bonus points for experience using Availity, Office Ally, and EHR systems.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $20.00 - $27.00/hour.
