Position : Sheet Metal Technician
Shift : 1st Hours : 7.00 AM - 3 : 00 PM
Type : Full-Time Mode : Contract to Permanent
As a Sheet Metal I, you will play a crucial role in our sheet metal manufacturing process, contributing to the production of high-quality components.
This position requires the ability to perform 1-2 of the 3 primary functions of the sheet metal process, which include Lathe, Edge, and Spin operations.
Your attention to detail, knowledge of CNC Lathe operations, and proficiency in maintaining organized workspaces will be essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities :
Organize and Maintain Materials :
Keep blank materials organized and maintain storage area by size and material.Read and fill out spec charts to ensure accurate identification and tracking of materials.
CNC Lathe Operations :
Demonstrate proficiency in operating CNC Lathe for all relevant products.Perform proper set-up and adjustments for machine set-ups, ensuring precision and efficiency.
Utilize proper backers for each Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) to meet quality standards.Knowledge and application of the proper care of chisels during the production process.
Utilize the appropriate size die for each operation, ensuring accuracy in the manufacturing process.
Machine Set-up and Adjustments :
Make set-up adjustments using miscellaneous tools to meet production requirements.Load programs into machines and edit programs as needed for optimal performance.
Perform tool changes using horst, demonstrating competence in maintaining machine efficiency.
Requirements
Previous experience in sheet metal manufacturing or related field.
