Job Title: Kennel Technician

Job Type: Full-time or Part-Time, Hourly

Job Summary:

True Animal Vet is seeking an experienced and caring Kennel Technician to join our team. The Kennel Technician will be responsible for providing high-quality care and attention to our patients in the kennel area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with animals and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Feeding, watering, and providing comfortable bedding for animals in the kennel
• Walking dogs to provide exercise and bathroom breaks
• Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and other animal areas
• Maintaining accurate and complete medical records using ezyVet software
• Monitoring the health and behavior of animals and reporting any concerns to the veterinary team
• Assisting with animal restraint during examinations and treatments as needed
• Providing basic grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
• Providing exceptional customer service to pet owners
• Performing other duties as assigned by the management team

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent or currently attending high school
• Experience or desire to work with animals, preferably in a veterinary setting
• Knowledge of animal behavior and basic health care needs
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed with advanced notice
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with veterinary team members
• Passion for providing exceptional animal care and customer service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and protocols
