Truck Enterprises is Hiring a District Outside Parts Sales Manager Near Chesapeake, VA

Bring your skills to the 2020 Kenworth Dealer of the Year! Truck Enterprises, Inc. along with Kenworth Sales Co., a 34-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is looking for a District Outside Parts Sales Manager to join our team.

JOB SUMMARY:
 
The primary function of the District Outside Parts Sales Manager (DOPSM) is to provide leadership and drive parts sales through the Outside Sales force in the Truck Enterprises AOR. The position is responsible for implementing sales, marketing, and training strategies to increase sales and gross profits.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist individual parts departments to achieve desired outside sales results (volume, profit and other goals). Work with individual Parts, Service and Body Shop Managers to develop and communicate parts and service sales strategies, product target goals, targeted conquest accounts and customer service goals to bring in additional sales opportunities.
  • Assist in the development and sales of new product offerings including scheduling vendor training and joint sales calls for outside sales and their customers. Joint customer calls with the sales team to evaluate individual salesperson performance.
  • Assist Outside Parts Sales Director, Corporate Parts Director, local Parts Managers and GMs/DMs on Sales Management programs to help Outside Sales personnel achieve goals. Includes monthly updates to sales spreadsheets and other sales tracking programs.
  • Monitor call reports, assign or reassign accounts, target accounts, and follow up on progress. Assist sales team in developing and implementing their business plans.
  • Assist with hiring, coaching, counseling and training of all Outside Sales Staff.
  • Work with the Sales Team to identify potential Online Parts Counter (web based) customers.
  • Design and implement Outside Sales training programs which include but are not limited to: Product knowledge, communication skills, selling skills, conflict resolution, territory and time management.
  • Travels to all locations within the area of responsibility on a regular basis.
  • Coordinates and communicates with all corporate management staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 
● Five (5) years heavy and medium duty diesel truck parts sales experience with a minimum of three (3) years in Outside Sales.
● Working knowledge on evaluating financial performance.
● Excellent organization skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to use standard office business equipment including computer technologies, with proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
● High school diploma or the equivalent required; college degree preferred.
● Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information.
