TruCheck Utility Metering Solutions is Hiring a Field Technician (Meter Installer/ERT Gas Meters) Near Ranchos de Taos, NM

What You Will Earn

Wages: $20 per hour.

Benefits: Paid on-the-job training, Company Vehicle, Medical/Dental/Vision Plan, Life Insurance, Company provided uniforms, tools, paid holidays, and PTO (Personal Time Off).

What You Will Do

Individuals will be responsible for the installation and replacement of gas modules meter reading systems for a local utility. Technicians will drive daily as required by the assigned geographic area. You will be expected to process the required data accurately and meet all required completion dates. We provide step-by-step training and will make sure that you are comfortable with the process before going out in the field. Additional management opportunities will be available for those who excel at this project and exhibit strong leadership skills.

Main Duties:

  • Exchanging and retrofitting gas meter modules in residential and commercial applications.
  • Extensive driving throughout Espanola, New Mexico, and surrounding areas.
  • Meet strict deadlines for completing meter exchanges and retrofits.
  • Ability to walk a minimum of 5 miles per day, walking in all types of terrain.
  • Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to deal with wildlife and animals is required.
  • No experience necessary, paid training is provided.

Work Requirements:

  • Provide a valid, Unexpired Driver’s License.
  • H.S. Diploma or GED equivalency required.

Pre-employment drug screening, motor vehicle screening AND background check will be completed.

Work Schedule

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift

Physical Requirements

Bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking several miles per day; carry up to 20lbs of equipment; be able to effectively communicate with customers in a courteous manner displaying excellent customer service and perform other duties as assigned; Performs all work in a safe manner; Observes and follows all company/client procedures; Possess excellent customer service/communication skills; Be available for overtime (which may include weekends); Be comfortable using computers/technology.
