Job Overview:

Troxell Leigh P.C. is seeking a full-time Paralegal to support our civil litigation department and to help out generally in other practice areas as needed. The ideal candidate is someone with 2-5 years of experience working in a law firm, who is reliable, versatile, organized and punctual. Someone who can work equally well alone or in a team. Must possess sound knowledge of legal terms, legal processes and court procedures. Applicant should have strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and be capable of creating and maintaining good client relationships.

Duties:

- Draft basic correspondence; pleadings and discovery for review by attorney; finalize same and file with Court;

- Cite checking and editing of legal documents;

- Handle phone call inquiries from clients; process outgoing mail, including production if tasked. Review and respond to client related correspondence;

- Photocopying and/or scanning of documents and work product; prepare final documents for client execution; closing files for return to client; document indexing, identification and tagging of scanned documents into electronic file;

- Schedule telephone calls, telephone conferences and appointments with clients and attorneys (as needed and required);

- Monitoring the status of cases and calendaring of deadlines and hearings;

- Provide notary services as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
